Businesses we collect from in Philadelphia
Philadelphia has a large and varied base of businesses that generate used oil: independent repair shops in every neighborhood, dealerships along Roosevelt Boulevard and the suburban pikes, transit and delivery fleets, and manufacturing and warehouse sites along the Delaware River and I-95. Fleets and equipment yards in the suburban counties add to it.

Planning a pickup in the city
City stops often mean narrow streets, alleys and tight parking. When you request service, tell us where your tank sits and the best time for a truck to reach it. We plan the stop around that, and the driver leaves documentation of every pickup for your records.
Where your used oil goes
Much of the used oil UES collects is transported to our re-refinery in Peachtree City, Georgia.
Oil suitable for re-refining is processed into recovered base oil that can be used to make new lubricants. Keeping collection and re-refining within UES gives us a direct path from your pickup to the plant that processes the oil.
The plant processes 90 million gallons of used oil a year. The Used Oil Re-Refinery page explains the process and includes information about plant tours.
